  1. Discerning/ markets changing.
  2. People have gotten burned, and they want to know that it’s the real deal. But people are willing to trust again and find the right people.
  3. Economics – instability.
  4. Market cycle, fear mongering and just so much up and down. People want to use their money wisely and how it makes the most impact for them.
  5. What is their core driving factor and WHY?
  6. American Election – nothing more on this. People are really concerned about their rights.

Trust is the driving factor.

People want to KNOW you = mere exposure.

People want to like you = likeable/loveable.

People want to TRUST you.

Trust is missing for some many business owners and it’s not just a dick measuring contest.

Building trust – The Speed of Trust by Stephen M.R Covey

  1. Talk straight = at their level, honest, and call like it is.
  2. care about other people = going beyond just credit card transaction. Community is built through care of others not just yourself.
  3. Declare your intent = what you see is what you get and that’s okay.
  4. Make things right, apologize, save the relationship.
  5. Give credit to others, speak as if people are there,
  6. Get better – seek feedback and improvement.
  7. Confront reality.
  8. have clear expectation – under promise overdeliver is out.
  9. be accountable with yourself first and then others.
  10. listen more than you are speaking + validate.
  11. Keep your commitments and do what you say.
  12. extend trust FIRST!

While this is good leadership – what people are craving is the idea that someone could deeply support them

Trends vs timeless sales

  1. in-person + phone calls (when DMs feel too much)
  2. Referrals
  3. Newton’s third law – an objection that is in motion will stay in motion for a great or equal force.
  4. network and connection.
  5. When to offer free.

Hey, I'm Meghan

I never planned to be in sales, but here I am after 9 years and probably won’t leave.

I didn’t come out of the womb selling but having three older brothers taught me a thing or two about how to get my way.

When I graduated in 2017, I thought I would trade my Colorado casual for a pant suit and a growing career. That quickly turned into management and getting fired after 11 grueling months.

But I was on to something when my clients started making more money.. So I ran head out into teaching more sales.
