February 10th, a day I promised I was going to get off, but instead, I’m sitting in my bedroom. Typing so fast on my phone, sending message after message… hoping to sign that next client. On top of that – My grandpa is in town… I should be spending time with him
But I know when that payment comes tomorrow, I won’t have the money…. And I’ll get kicked out of the program. My eyes welled up with tears. How did the Wonder Child’s $200-$200k go to being so broke I can’t pay for a program?
I don’t know what was worse, letting down my grandpa on my dead brother’s birthday or feeling like a sales expert who couldn’t sign a client. The words swirled in my head ” way to go Meghan! Maybe you aren’t cut out for this“
In 12 weeks, I would go from a perfectly healthy person to getting pneumonia and being bedridden for two weeks. Which would become into a mental breakdown causing me to walk away from my business and a broken engagement.

So what is a normal experience was causing me to melt down in my bedroom.
For me, It wasn’t a lack of sales skills. In my first calendar year alone – I had $100k in 90 days in sales, $10k cash days, and I made $220k with a small audience.
It was the idea that I needed a solution, and imposter syndrome kept me small. My results were lucky and I didn’t have the skills
It was constantly feeding into my less than, always need more, others are better than me.

It was asking for help. I mustered up my last shred of dignity. Ask my fiancé at the time to borrow the payment and then pay it back in a month’s time.
And then when he left me, my mental health took a deep dive (okay, it was already in a free fall…. but that’s another story.
I used that same strength to ask my dad to pay for therapy and help me back on my feet.
And then again, when I just invested like 2 months ago, {first_name}
Because what I didn’t need and you probably don’t need is another DFY system of greatness, another launch method or evergreen (that is actually launching)
You don’t need to update your messaging to make people pay more attention to you, use problem awareness.
You don’t need to minimize your dreams, shrink yourself not to overshadow your coach’s methods or outshine their success
Your marketing can be fun and inspiring, you can love the whole process and make money.
Your problem awareness can be insightful and kind.

But I was on to something when my clients started making more money.. So I ran head out into teaching more sales.
