“Hey I took the PROGRAM too, but I would love to connect with you” My heart SUNK. Sitting in the parking lot of Barnes and Noble hoping to get ONE more sale into my program. My launch wasn’t going the way that I thought it would
I remember asking my mentor “Do you think the election is going to affect my launch?” She was quick to answer, “Most people should know who they are voting for now..”

On paper, it was supposed to be a successful launch. I was doing ALL The right things.
I had the ads
I had the master class
and I had the hype (and the client results to back)
So there I was showing up daily…. wondering if something was wrong with me. Driving myself CRAZY about why people weren’t buying.
In my mind it was simple, I was a one-hit wonder business coach ready to go back to corporate. I was a FAKE washed up sales expert…. on top of it, I was placing value on someone else’s script (even though there was no merit to what made it successful for me)
(plot twist – I was burned out in my business and should have pushed my launch)
I was NOT trusting the process, I was not using the phrases and mindset that I use from my clients. I was two steps away from being a mini-training on why sales are sleazy and don’t trust salespeople.
The script is not the enemy here, because that is where most people start. Scripts build skills, but in the same way, you graduated from training wheels – you have to create your own.
It’s the mindset of someone else having something I don’t that makes me MORE successful because of them.

The lack was me, and not having a process that looked and sounded like me. So when that course blew up like it did, having 10000s people, I was forced to buy into the next thing or script. (if you are wondering what the breakdown in your sales process is – read this)
This problem took me two years to figure out.
and that’s also why I didn’t launch a DM course either. I didn’t want to provide scripts that everyone uses, having mini Meghan running around and someone to feel the same way when I got called out in the DMS.
It wasn’t until I was sitting on a consistent sales system call and my client had her first $10k a month after not selling that I knew I was on to something and you could learn through videos and apply.
And that’s how down in the DMs was born. Down in the DMS helps you create your own sales framework to sign clients in your direct message (not just IG, but LinkedIn and tik tok too)
You learn what you need to learn, connect with your audience on a deeper level, and be able to sign clients during your “engagement time”
