I’ve heard this from MULTIPLE clients this year. There is a lack of sales strategy in sales-based programs, and instead, they are being sold some journal practice or secret code.  

Sales is not rooted in personality. For most people, it’s a skill that is crafted over time.

If you are naturally introverted or don’t have a bubbly personality, you don’t have to worry about changing yourself.

Sales is a skill and, like any skill set, can be taught. In the last three years, I’ve worked with over 300+ entrepreneurs leading the same thing most people fear. 

When I started in sales in 2014, I didn’t understand it. I didn’t get what made people buy the other-priced shirts I was selling. Then I leaned into what I learned were actual sales mechanics (that I still use in my business) 

I started telling stories about how if I were a senator, I would talk all the weed money (we carried shirts with the weed symbol on them) and heat the roads. 

I asked questions to figure out who they were shopping for and if their wife was a size small (plot twist – most of them weren’t, but they got the correct dimensions) 

it wasn’t that I was good at sales at the start; it’s a skill that has been crafted
